Simple Newbie

When I first started in Second Life, I was like any newbie. I needed to get my bearings, and needed to know how to work the control panels in front of my screen. There were several; upper and bottom tool bars.

Learning to fly, walk, and things called "gestures." It took me about an hour in the information center, when I was finally comfortable with the controls, and started walking to the nearby structures on the island.

I stopped into a house, and saw some items there. There were the usual furniture, and paintings on display, but the one that caught my attention was the harp. I touched it and played a harpsical melody for me, and I was simply amazed.

I looked into my build section of my tool bar, and build a simple item I called the "apple" object. And placed a texture called Tea House. I was happy that I was able to quickly build something, but was quickly disappointed by my inability to add music to it, as I would have liked too. I placed it back in my inventory, and went to setting about exploring SL.

Well its been months since I have been on Second Life, and I am now ready to make my own mark in SL by contributing with my blog of adventures. And my relationships to the avatars that are my friends and lovers. This is my story, and I will recall past events, as how it relates to the present situation that is now.

  1. As I am a late commer to this blog, I am finding the detail of your arbitrary origins very amazing. Thank you for showing us a beginning.
